3M filtrete 1900 - merv 13, but also twice the media as most merv 8's on the market (1,560 sq. in) so they do not clog up fast, or create static pressure build up any faster then the typical merv 8. Oh, but they do collect smaller particulate matter MUCH better than any merv 8 on the market (including particulates from wildfire smoke) - which equates to cleaner coils, less work for your motor etc, and FAR better overall air quality in your home. My residential HVAC heating/cooling system (Maytag) is close to 20 yrs old. Other than changing out a pressure switch yrs ago, not a single issue. I change the 3M 1900 every 4-6 weeks in summer, 8 weeks when snow is on the ground.

Hello, i have a Milwaukee 12amp that when plugged into charger it flashes red which means the battery is outside the charging temperatures. I tried boosting and it still didnt after 15 mins of boosting which tells me there's a fault somewhere else. I bought the battery from Amazon as used but like new. It only ran my weed trimmer for 10 mins and died. A new 12amp runtime is 45 mins plus. I tried everything i can think of. Is the battery toast???? If so lesson learned never buy used batteries

This came with my new Dewalt multimeter and I didn’t know what to do with it. I thought it was very cool going around the kitchen touching it to the Keurig wire, the air fryer, etc. But then I touched it to a mixer that was not plugged in and it gave me a positive reading. What’s up with that?

Almost every hack videos you post I’ve already done including this one my father taught me. He was a carpenter and we would always fill striped out hinge screw holes with sawdust glue then drill new holes. I am a wood carver and use this for that as well. I keep all my sawdust.

We own a condo. When I replaced all of the sockets and switches I could feel a lot of air and I mean a lot. Especially on the inside walls between units. We are in a middle unit. Turns out the dryers are vented at the ends of walls to the outside and they did not seal well around the venting. So not only did have a lot of air but moisture. Sealed the sockets and sealed the dryer vent at both ends. Mucho better.

Our dimmers get hot. Is it good idea to seal them? They would get hotter wouldn’t they.

For a $1.25 you can buy a slinky from the dollar store, put it around the pole and it ends up being a bungee for them

The heavy duty pvc p-trap u are talking about tends to leak more at compression joint because there is no rubber seal unlike Oatey p-trap that has rubber seal. There is not way Oatey p-trap leaks unless u did something wrong. FYI: Oatey also sells heavy duty version on p-trap.

I saw a bird feeder with a slink ever time the squirrel would climb up to get to the feeder, their hands would catch slinky an fall back on the ground.

I still have an old laptop from 1995. It sat in storage for over 20 years, in a hot garage. The battery still works fine. Clearly they put "stop working" technology in the newer stuff. Litium batteries used to be rated at keeping a charge for over 10 years, not these days though.

During the day the earth turns away from the sun.The hottest part of the day is between noon and four P.M. when the sun is above and therefore closest to the earth.By five P.M. you will notice that it's getting cooler and by eight and nine P.M. you will notice that it's a lot cooler, especially if it has just rained and the humidity has been released from the air.By midnight you will find that it's even cooler out because at midnight the sun is on the other side of the earth

WOW! Interesting seed. I just laid sod down in my backyard a month ago Friday. Its actually a special 80% fescue mix which was actually suppose to do well in the shade. Unfortunately we somehow lost about 90% which we seem to think from too much water. However, in the beginning, knowing it was in shade, we even did not water it twice a day in the beginning like you would sod in the sun. We seem to think the reason why water was caught because we rolled the sod. Rolling was a debate for me because I have heard and watched many "SO CALLED" professionals say roll it and not roll it. I felt like my common sense kept telling me not to roll it because i wanted to keep the tilled soil underneath loose for better oxygen and nutrients to absorb. So it seemed as if the water kept on the sod and i noticed the musty smell on the grass and literally the roots in the sod disappeared. I thought that was strange, as if the batch of sod didnt have much to begin with. What would be your suggestiion on laying sod in shade? I did everything i thought was right, other than i think the rolling. Tilled old soil, added a couple of inches of new soil mixed with a starter fertilizer. Layed the sod firmly. and that was it. Thank you

Great overview, especially free solar. I love lighting up my pitch black rural home for when we/guests arrive after dark. However.....WILDLIFE TIP: my lesson learned with dusk/dark lights is it attracted bat nesting in the eaves from attracting bug concentration to all the lighting on the home. Then I had a bat removal problem, uggg. My solution was to buy plug-in spots with a remote and only use when I need the lighting. Not my pretty nightly visual I wanted but just a tip to whatever lighting you consider.
